The War-e-Lanar
According to the suspicious sight of an unknown creature, a
team of rangers, trained Zoologists and armed coopers was sent deep in the
dense Amazon Jungle through a helicopter. Elon was a Zoologist among them who
also knew using weapons and surviving alone in a forest. The reports said that
the creature was a fatal carnivorous predator. Its picture was not taken due to
its incredible speed. However, the recording of its unique roar was taken which
was taken as the basis of its identification by the batch. It looked a bit like
a Jaguar and it didn’t leave the people who had been there to record his
pictures, videos and sounds.
This batch had brought some advanced technologies to get more
information easily about this anonymous creature. Among them the most important
and advanced technology was the spy fly which was a robot drone with camera in
the shape and size of a fly and could easily locate the nest of this creature.
The scientists had given the creature a name of “ War- e-Lanar Jaguar”.
The team landed safely and made a safe camp for their
residence. Camera were installed at various places and a grand tarp was set
first. After 3 days the same roar was heard and the trap was found completely
ruined and broken. It felt that it stood nothing in front of the War-e-Lanar.
Only two barely clear pictures were taken by the cameras
installed. This showed the appearance of the War-e-Lanar Jaguar. It was highly
blended with colour of the forest and it was difficult to notice when static.
Its claws were like sharp, long, curved knives.
It had a thorn on each of its rear elbow. Its greenish and
yellowish skin had brown patches just like a Jaguar. Its tail was long and
thick. It had two long sharp front teeth and the teeth were like blocks among
the gums. Its nose was big and wide for smelling prey far from him. His eyes
were quite astonishing.
In the glossy blue iris of the eye white lines of different
sizes were evenly distributed around the pupil. It had green sclera. Its pointy
ears could elongate to hear smoothing far away. It has fierce spikes
originating from its backbone that ran from its head to the start of the tail.
It had long whiskers that could sense movement around. And most astonishing
characteristic of all the characteristics was that its eyes and its spine line
from head to rail burnt with a blue flame when it was fierce. It was very big
about the height of a man, with the rest of the body in proportion.
The people and Zoologists were very amazed at this discovery
because many of its characteristics were impossible. Next they used the spy fly
to study its behaviour. They captured some videos difficultly because most of
the time, it was mixed in the forest colours and could not be seen. It was
discovered that it runs so fast that we could hardly see it. Its sensors made
its far located prey very near to it.
Its way of attack was found surprising. A prey on the other
side of hill could be in his teeth in a few seconds. First, it moved its ears
sensing the sound. Then it smelled and rubbed its claws against the ground.
Then, it ran like lightening and jumped exact on the prey. The team practiced
very much to catch one had low chances of success. Then at last, they came up
with an idea. They planned that all of them would go out and try to trap it and
injure it so it could be captured easily. They planned that a drone would shoot
a rocket on the Jaguar to hurt it. They gave the duty of flying drone to Elon
as he knew it quite well.
Moreover, he was not very skilled at handling weapons. So, he
decided to stay and fly the drone with the rest of the people going out to hunt
the Jaguar. They had prepared many tactics to capture the Jaguar. First, they
located the Jaguar’s present location by the Spy Fly and started their journey,
grabbing guns, sedative guns, nets, ropes and many other things of necessities.
Elon was settled in the camp, remote in hand, watching the
screen. The drone had a rocket missile
loaded in it. He followed the team while they were walking and arrived at a
place 200 meters far from the Jaguar. They thought that this place would be
quite far from the Jaguar to sense them and started preparing the trap. They
were had no of sticks and sent a person out to fetch some. He was one of Elon’s
colleagues. They waited long enough but he didn’t come back. So, some of them,
including the rangers and coopers, went after him. Elon’s drone followed them.
Not very far they saw some blood on the grass. Near it, they found that man
lying flat dead on the ground. His jaw had four deep teeth marks and his chest
was torn apart. The people were astonished to see that as the scene froze their
heart. It was the same Jaguar. According to the marks on his body, it seemed
the Jaguar first pounced on his face and bit deeply, preventing him from
screaming then he anchored his long claws below his neck and tore it till the lower
belly and nearby there were blood splashes.
Suddenly, loud screams
of people were heard. Everyone ran back to the trap area as fast as they could.
When they reached there, they saw splashes of blood, parted limbs and dead
bodies all over the ground. All the rangers and coopers lined in a circle with
loaded guns out towards the jungle. Suddenly, there was a flash of something
and one of the coopers got disappeared. This surprising event gave Elon a jerk
and lost control on the drone. Unfortunately, the drone got tangled in the
wines, leaves of tree and he could not fly the drone any more.
However, the rocket was operational through the camera, he
saw horrible things. The Jaguar quietly jumped into the circle from a tree. No
one knew it. Then he grabbed a person by neck and through his body far away
with the head and neck in this mouth. Everyone opened fire on it but it was too
fast to target. One by one it burst everyone and streams of blood. Elon
literally had eye drops pouring out of his eyes. It tore them, cut them, sliced
them and flooded them when it had cleared all of them, then it stood for a
little while and took a deep breath. Then it started walking slowly. Luckily,
it came right in the target of Elon’s tangled drone. Elon took advantage of
this, he pushed the button in the remote. The missile was shot and there was a
blast. The Jaguar was lying on the ground with his front shoulder injured
badly. He was roaring and expressing pain. Elon grabbed a rope and ran as fast
as he could towards the Jaguar. When he reached there, everywhere, there was
blood, dead bodies and horror. In the center lay the great Jaguar, about 1.5
meters long, with a tail measuring 1 meter.
It had sharp spiked from its head to the start of the tail.
When it saw Elon, it roared the most furious voice and its eyes and from its
head till the end of the tail began to burn with a bright blue flame. Elon got
scared. He made a loop of the rope and tied its legs. Elon ran back to the camp
and brought a piece of black thick cloth and a long cart. He went back to the Jaguar.
He had to somehow cover its mouth so he could not bite or cut the rope of his
tied legs. Elon was very frightened to do this. He somehow got courage and threw
the cloth on its face. Then wrapped it and tied it. The Jaguar was bleeding so
much after such an exercise and murder that it did not have much energy now.
Elon pulled the Jaguar on the cart through the rope. Then he pushed the cart
till he reached the camp. It was evening by now and he was tired. He left the
cart outside and entered in the camp. He lay there for a while in front of the
fire because it was too cold, ate some biscuits and felt relaxed.
Then he thought about the hungry Jaguar feeling cold outside.
He felt scared to let a fatal Jaguar come near his bed but at the same time, he
felt pity for it. He decided to bring him inside the camp. When he went out,
the Jaguar was shivering with cold. He quickly brought him inside and left it
near the fire. The Jaguar felt quite relaxed. Then Elon saw its wound. Oh! It
was horrible. He brought some medicine and bandage from the first aid kit and
carefully put it on the wound. The Jaguar mewled because of pain. Elon
carefully put bandage around the wound on its legs. He brought some raw mutton
from the food stock in a big dish in front of his head covered with the cloth.
It sensed the smell and moved its head expressing hunger. Then Elon removed the
cloth and quickly moved away being cautious. The Jaguar looked around, saw the
meat and started eating. Elon filled some water in a pot and gave it to the Jaguar
that drank it quenching its thirst.
Elon felt sorry for it. He wanted to go back home after
informing his institution but he had had the thought of that Jaguar. He was
scared they would cage it and subject it to experiments. He wished for the
endangered species to be allowed to live freely. He decided that he would take
care of this probable last specie of its kind irrespective of his own life. A
few days passed. Elon hunted birds and caught fish from the river for the Jaguar.
One day, Elon returned to the camp with a large rabbit he had hunted. When he
entered his camp, to his surprise, he found the Jaguar standing with its head
inside a pot of water.
When it saw the rabbit in Elon’s hand, it quickly trotted
towards Elon. He got shocked and dropped the rabbit. The Jaguar picked the
rabbit and took it to a corner and started eating. Elon was surprised that it
didn’t attack him. He was sure that due to his kind attitude and taking care of
it, the Jaguar was positive to him. That day, Elon had a different strange unusual
feeling and at night he felt sick. He ate some snacks but was worried about the
breakfast. He didn’t have the strength to hunt any animal. He lay beside the
fire reading a book while the Jaguar was sleeping on the other side and
gradually, Elon fell asleep.
When he woke up in the morning, he saw that the Jaguar was
not there. He stood up, went to the door and opened it. The Jaguar was nowhere
to be seen. He sat on his bed and thought that the Jaguar might have left. He
felt a little lonely as he did not want him to go. After sometime, the door
opened Elon was shocked. It was the Jaguar that had opened the door with its
paw. In its mouth, it had a baby dear. Elon was very happy. The Jaguar dropped
its prey in front of Elon, who cut it into two parts. He gave one to the Jaguar
and cleaned the other and roasted. He had a delicious breakfast that day.
After breakfast, the Jaguar picked up a small picture of a
city from the corner and dropped it in front of Elon. Then it licked Elon and
stood beside the door. It was a sign of goodbye, advising him to go home. Elon
nodded, opened the door, and the Jaguar disappeared into the jungle.
Elon took his phone and called his institute, returning the
missed calls from throughout the time. He told them that the Jaguar had killed
everyone despite all their efforts, and he was the only one left. He requested
to send a helicopter to pick him up. He also added that no one should be ever
sent to catch this Jaguar as it was impossible. When he went home, he narrated
the story excluding the time spent between him and the Jaguar which he kept a
secret for most of his life and only told as a story to his grandchildren.
Most of the time, he thought of what would the Jaguar be
doing now. Did it still remember him? All his thoughts ended in a happy smile
that he let the Jaguar continue its life in its natural habitat.
